Hailing from 27 vineyards across the Golden State, the Juvenile is more of a clear bellwether for the 2019 vintage than any other wine we make. The wine is truly lovely from the very first pour, showing ripe red fruits, florals, warmed spices, and excellent freshness. Full bodied, smooth, lithe, and satisfying on the palate, with supremely well-integrated tannins.

Domaine de Fontsainte "Gris de Gris", Corbieres, FR, 2021
A blend of predominately Grenache gris, with Carignan and Mouvedre, and hand harvested. Lively and fresh, malolactic fermentation is stopped, and the wine is rested for one month before bottling, preserving the aromatic intensity. A real patio pounder.

75% Hondarrabi Beltza (40 to 50 year old vines) and 25% Hondarrabi Zuri grown on clay over granite bedrock. Red grapes are destemmed, crushed, and macerated on the skins for 3 hours before pressing and transfer to stainless steel tank for fermentation. White grapes are picked and pressed separately, and their juice is added to the pink juice (ratio 1 : 3) to ferment together. Lively, effervescent and crushable.

Aubry, "Brut 1er Cru", Jouy-les-Reims, Champagne, FR, N.V.
A portion of the blend is Chardonnay aged in used oak barrels (35 percent), and the balance is equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Half of the wine is from the 2017 vintage; the rest is a perpetual reserve that the brothers started in 1998. The flavors focus on red currants and green pear, red apples and wildflower honey.

Deep and resonant on the palate and yet finely-cut, the Atavique captures the combination of fruit intensity and tension that is the signature of Verzy. Bright, saline notes give energy to this Pinot-heavy Champagne. The blend is 80% 2013 and 20% 2012/2011, 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay.
